Songs for Lyric Book

Blur - Park Life
Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur of what is known as (parklife)
And morning soup can be avoided if you take a route straight through what is known as
(parklife)
John's got brewers droop he gets intimidated by the dirty pigeons
They love a bit of it (parklife)
Who's that gut lord marching... you should cut down on your porklife mate... get some
Exercise

Lawson - Juliet
People stop to turn and stare
Everywhere she goes
Dollar signs and crimson hair
She will steal your soul
Set her sights on billionaires
All she wants is gold
She is straight up rock and roll
I'm telling you she knows

Show of Hands - Country Life
Working in the rain cutting down wood
Didn't do my little brother much good
Lost two fingers ina chainsaw bite
All he does now is drink and fight
Sells a bit of grass hots up cars
Talks of travel never gets far
Loves his kids left his wife
An everyday story of country life

Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You

How long will I love you
As long as stars are above you
And longer if I can
How long will I need you
As long as the seasons need to
Follow their plan
How long will I be with you
As long as the sea is bound to
Wash up on the sand

Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me

I'm in the room ‒ it's a typical Tuesday night.
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like.
And she'll never know your story like I do.
But she wears short skirts
I wear t-shirts
She's cheer captain
And I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time.

Jim Moray - Lord Douglas

Lord Douglas died so long before the morning;
His love she died tomorrow.
Lord Douglas died of the wounds her father gave him; His lady died for sorrow.
She was buried in the yard, And he was buried by her,
And out her heart a crimson rose, And out his heart a briar.
The briar and the rose grew up together, Till they could get no higher,
And there they twined a true love's knot together For all love to admire.
Cher Lloyde - Oath
I know I drive you crazy, hmm, sometimes
I know I call you lazy, and that's most times
But you complete me, and that's no lie
You are my tuxedo, and I'm your bow tie
We in the car, sing, sing, singing our song
Rocking the building, tear it down, like we king kong
And in my eyes, you can do, do no wrong
You got a best friend sing, sing along

Evaluation on Hand Drawn Type Poster

Creating my Hand Drawn Type Poster went really well. I'm happy with my hand drawn type and my colours. However I could have been a bit more creative in the way I layed all the letters out and I also don't like the way I kept one half in colour and one half black, I think I should have kept it all in colour.

I did have a bit of trouble with cutting out the letters and copying them into the actual poster, I couldn't get my free transform to work, but I realised that this was because I wasn't de-selecting the letter after I'd taken the white background out of it.

Over all I enjoyed creating my poster because I used my own type which meant I was incorporating my own style into my work instead of just copying someone else's. I also liked working on different layers in photoshop as I could arrange all my letters the way I wanted them.

Hand Drawn Type Art Quote Poster

These are my hand drawn types.

Here I scanned in my own hand drawn type into photoshop.

I then chose an individual letter and took the background out of it so I could move it around and change it's size easily. I did this with all of the letters I used then put them all together to make my quote poster.

Evaluation On Business Cards

I think over all my business cards went well. I'm pleased with the layout of my text and the images I chose, however I think I could have made my type face slightly bigger as it's hard to read.

I had a bit of trouble when typing all my letters out because I had to do them all on separate layers. This meant it was hard to select the right letter and I was constantly deleting things I didn't want to delete. Because of this it took me a long time to finish my business cards. I also didn't particularly like using images off the internet on my business card as I don't feel like it's very original, I think next time I will use my own drawings.

Using DaFont for my type was nice to do because it meant it was quick and easy to find a type face that   fitted with the style of my business card and the images I had on it and I'm happy with the finished product.

Making Business Cards

I started with a grey gradient background, then found the silhouette and used the magic wand tool to get rid of the white background.

Next I added text, using a type face from Dafont.

I added butterflies the same way I added the other silhouette to fill the blank space and make it more interesting.

Then I added my details on the back of the business card in the same font.

And finally I added some more silhouettes for decoration.

This was the finished product.
